Chief Minister was seen doing warm-ups in Hyde Park during a visit to Britain
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was seen jogging and walking at Hyde Park in London. Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh shared pictures and videos of his London visit on social media, in which the Chief Minister can be seen walking from Buckingham Palace to Hyde Park. He was accompanied by a delegation of officials and party leaders.
Mamta’s walking style in saris and slippers again in discussion
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wore a white saree, white slippers and black cardigan during this period. He also took a shawl to avoid the cold of London. The special thing about his jogging style was ‘back-walking’ and clapping, which was also discussed on social media. TMC leader Kunal Ghosh posted that it was not just a simple walk, but a ‘warm-up’ session.
Earlier, they have been seen on foreign tours in the same manner
This is not the first time Mamata Banerjee has been seen jogging on a foreign tour. During his visit to Spain in 2023, he also jogged into saris and slippers on the roads of Madrid and gave a message to people to stay healthy.
Initiative to strengthen Britain-Bengal relations
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee arrived in London on an official visit on Sunday. The main objective of this tour is to strengthen cultural, business and diplomatic relations between Bengal and Britain. He posted on social media,
“On reaching London, it felt as if we are stepping into a city parallel to Kolkata, which cherish both the legacy and modern energy of its past.”
He also reiterated the commitment to deepen the historical relations of Britain and Bengal. There is a possibility of several important meetings with business representatives and British officials during his visit.
