Despite the political differences between West Bengal Governor and current Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, there was no problem in personal relationships. As the Governor of West Bengal, there was a situation of confrontation between Dhankhar and Mamta government several times, but when Vice President was hospitalized due to illness, Mamata Banerjee remained in constant contact with her family.
After returning to the Rajya Sabha, Dhankhar himself revealed that Mamata Banerjee and senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi continued to contact his wife Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar while in constant contact and took information about his health while being hospitalized.
