Material required to make Tawa Casserole:
- Remaining rice – 2 to 3 cups
- Oil – 2 teaspoons
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Ginger – 1 inch (grated)
- Green chilly – 2 (finely chopped)
- Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
- Green peas – ½ cup
- Capsicum – ½ (finely chopped)
- Tomato – 1 (finely chopped)
- Salt – As per taste
- chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Pav bhaji masala – 1 tsp
- Green coriander – For garnish
Custom Tawa Casserole Method:
- First place a large griddle or pan on gas and heat the oil in it.
- Fry cumin seeds, grated ginger and finely chopped green chillies in hot oil.
- Now add onion and fry till it becomes light golden. Then add green peas and capsicum and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and mix salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder together.
- Mix the spices well and let it cook for 2-3 minutes so that the tomatoes become soft.
- Now add pav bhaji masala and add the remaining rice and mix well.
- Add green coriander over the top and let the casseron cook on low flame for 1 minute.
