  • Big green chilli – 5 to 7
  • Garlic cloves – 8 to 10 pieces
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Roasted peanuts – 50 grams
  • Cumin – 1 tablespoon
  • Oil

How to make Maharashtrian Thecha Chutney

  • – First of all, wash the chillies and remove the stalk.
  • Cut it into three pieces and keep it in a plate. You can use hot or less hot chillies as per your taste.
  • – Now heat oil in a pan on gas.
  • When it becomes hot, add cumin seeds and fry. – Now add garlic to it.
  • Add chopped green chillies and cook before the garlic turns pink. – Let it cook on medium gas for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • When it starts becoming a little soft, add roasted unpeeled peanuts to it and cook on low flame for 1 to 2 minutes. Add salt. Remember not to cover it while making it.
  • Now when everything is cooked, turn off the gas and let it cool.
  • After it cools down a bit, grind it on a sealed grater.
  • Your Kolhapuri Thecha is ready.
  • You can serve it with any food item like rotli, rotla or bhakri.
