Ingredients required to make jaggery chutney
- Mustard oil: 4-5 tbsp
- Crushed olives: 1 bowl
- Jaggery: 1/4 cup
- Panch phoron seeds: 2 teaspoons
- Roasted cumin: 2 teaspoons
- Red chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
- Honey: 2 tbsp
Method to make Jaggery Chutney
- Melt the jaggery:
- First of all, put mustard oil in a pan and heat it lightly.
- Add jaggery to it and cook on medium flame, until the jaggery melts completely.
- Cook the olives:
- Add crushed olives to the melted jaggery.
- Cook until it becomes soft and keep stirring occasionally so that the olives do not burn.
- Mix spices:
- Now add salt, panch phoron seeds, roasted cumin seeds, and red chili powder to the pan.
- Let the spices cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add honey:
- Finally, add honey to the spices and mix well and turn off the gas.
- Serve:
- Serve the prepared jaggery chutney with rice, curry, or paratha.
