According to the BLA, the Pakistan Army Special Operation Commander Tariq Imran and Subedar Umar Farooq were also killed in this attack. The organization has clarified that this action is part of their campaign being run for the independence of Balochistan.

Pakistan has not yet given an official response to this attack, but army activities have been increased in the region. The attack is the second major setback for Pakistan after India’s recent air strike.
