Golden Chariot Parade Winners Announced: Mahavir Jayanti Procession Featured Artistic Depictions, Tribal Dance From Various Jain Communities In Indore | FP Photo
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Digambar Jain Samaj Samajik Sansad declared the results of the golden chariot procession held during Mahavir Janma Kalyanak Mahotsav.
Society president Rajkumar Patodi and publicity head Satish Jain informed that the grand procession showcased tableaux from various Jain temples, social groups and organisations, each reflecting key moments and teachings from Lord Mahavir’s life.
Om Vihar Colony illustrated the ten previous births of Lord Mahavir, while the Kharaua community’s tableau depicted Queen Trishala’s sixteen dreams, Mahavir’s birth, his renunciation, divine sound and samavasaran (divine preaching hall). The Parwar community focused on Acharya Vidyasagar Maharaj’s food practices and tribals invited from Manawar performed traditional folk dances.
The Narsinghpura Samaj recreated the birth scene of Lord Mahavir, while the Bagherwal community presented a glimpse of Acharya Vishuddh Sagar Ji’s Pattaacharya Mahakumbh. Jain Study Group respectfully portrayed the teachings of Lord Mahavir through a serene display.
Winners were declared as follows:
First Prize : Om Vihar Colony and Kharaua Samaj
Second Prize : Parwar Samaj, Bagherwal Samaj, Narsinghpura Samaj
Third Prize: Jain Study Group
The panel of judges included Subhash Sethia (coordinator), Sarla Samaria, Ankita Jain, Deepa Godha, Anshu Godha, Shilpa Gangwal, Sonam Pahadia, Khushboo Patodi, Rakhi Jain and Meena Jain.
The event was a grand reflection of spiritual devotion and artistic excellence.
