The festival of Mahashivaratri is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month. According to mythology, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati were married on this day, so this festival is considered very auspicious. Take a bath again in the evening: Before worshiping Shivaratri at night, one should take a bath with pure water.
