How to do Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva on Mahashivaratri? Know the whole method
After retiring from bathing etc. in the evening, first meditate on Lord Ganesha. After this, meditate on Lord Shiva, Parvati, all the gods and nine planets and resolve to do Rudrabhishek. Make a Shivling from the soil and install it in the north direction. The person doing Rudrabhishek should face the east direction. Start this method by anointing Ganga water on Shivling. First of all, bathe Shivling with Ganga water. Then anoint Shivling with sugarcane juice, raw milk of cow, honey, ghee and sugar. Offer holy water or Ganges water before and after anointing with each material.
Perform aarti of Lord Shiva with full devotion.
Offer bilva patra, white sandalwood, akshat, black sesame, cannabis, dhatura, figure, shami flowers and leaves, karva, fruits, sweets and white flowers to God. After this, worship all the deities including the Shiva family. Offer food to God. Finally perform the aarti of Lord Shiva with full devotion. Lastly, pray for forgiveness.

Collect water or other liquids offered during this process and sprinkle it in every corner of the house and on all people and can also accept it as offerings.
