The world famous 105 feet high Hanuman statue located in Nandura in Buldhana district of Maharashtra was immersed in water this morning on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The world’s tallest Hanuman statue is recorded in the Guinness Book of Limca Records. Various religious programs were organized here on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. For the last 15 years, there has been a tradition of offering garlands of 250 to 350 kg on this Hanuman statue through remote control on Hanuman Jayanti. For this, a garland is placed on the rope of automatic wire through remote control and chants the devotee ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vayunandanay Namah’ on the wind-driven rope.
Religious programs will be organized here for a week to commemorate the birth anniversary. Due to this giant statue, Nandura village has got a new identity since 2001 and that is “Hanuman Nagari”. Overall, the Guinness Book of Limca has also recorded a 105 -foot -tall statue of Hanuman, which is the tallest statue in the world. Thousands of devotees come here every day for darshan. Various religious programs are held here throughout the year. Since today is Hanuman Jayanti, thousands of devotees have come here to worship here since morning and there is a lot of enthusiasm among the devotees.
