The Fadnavis government of Maharashtra has taken an important step in the field of health and announced a free cancer vaccine to girls of 0-14 years. Giving information about this on Saturday, state health minister Prakash Abitkar said that cancer cases are increasing rapidly due to changing lifestyle, and now the disease is affecting people of all ages. To deal with this serious problem, the state government has decided to start a free cancer vaccination program.

Government approved

According to ANI report, Health Minister Abitkar said,
“We requested Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar to be given free cancer vaccine to girls of 0-14 years. They have approved it and the government will soon implement the scheme. ”

Causes of increasing cancer cases

Not only is smoking or other addiction responsible for the increase in cancer cases, but also causing food and changing lifestyle is also becoming a major reason. Especially in view of increasing cases of cancer in children, this scheme is considered very important. The state government believes that this decision will help in protecting millions of girls from serious illness.

Alert also about bird flu

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has started taking strict steps in view of the danger of bird flu in Vidarbha. There is a confirmation of avian influenza (bird flu) in the crows. However, no case of this infection has been reported in humans so far.

Health Minister Abitkar said that samples of suspected patients have been sent to National Institute of Virology for examination. They said,
“As a precaution, we have temporarily closed chicken shops in the affected areas to prevent the infection from spreading.”

Appeal to be cautious on eating chicken

Recently, there were some cases of Guilan-Baire syndrome (GBS) in Pune, after which Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar appealed to the people to avoid eating half-baked chicken. Although no direct relationship between the disease and chicken has been confirmed, the government has advised to take precaution.
