Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday responded to the incident in which miscreants allegedly attempted to harass the daughter of Union Minister Raksha Khadse and her friends during Sant Muktai Yatra in Kothali village, Muktainagar in Jalgaon.

Speaking to the media on the issue, Maharashtra CM said, “Unfortunately, a worker from a particular party is involved in this crime. The police have registered a case, arrested some individuals, and the remaining culprits will be apprehended soon. Harassment in public places is unacceptable, and those involved will not be spared. Strict action will be taken against them.”

The assurance from the Chief Minister comes hours after the Union Minister demanded immediate action against the accused.

Acting upon the complaint filed by Union Minister Raksha Khadse’s security personnel, Muktainagar police have booked four youths in the case.

According to reports, Minister Raksha Khadse’s security personnel had accompanied her family to witness the yatra in Kothali village. During the event, they noticed a group of young men suspiciously recording videos of the minister’s family. Acting on this suspicion, the security personnel confiscated the mobile phone of one of the youths and checked its contents. This led to a confrontation, with the four accused allegedly engaging in a scuffle with the security personnel.
