Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Voting for Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 has started today. Exit polls will also come after voting this evening. Voting has started from 7 am in a peaceful atmosphere and will continue till 6 pm. There are 9.64 crore voters in 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra who will decide the fate of a total of 40136 candidates of all parties including independents. After voting the votes will be counted on 23rd November.
In the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024, there will be a face-to-face fight between Mahayuti i.e. BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar’s NCP and Mahavikas Aghadi i.e. Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Sharad Pawar’s NCP and Congress. In which the Mahayuti alliance is trying to remain in power. This time the candidates of Mahavikas Aghadi have entered the fray to win the elections.
Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appealed to the people to vote for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Posting on the social media platform X, he said that the voters of Maharashtra state are requested to enthusiastically become a part of the festival of democracy and go to vote. He especially appealed to young and women voters to vote.
After voting today for the assembly elections in Maharashtra, the fate of more than 4,000 candidates contesting on 288 seats will be sealed in EVMs. Voting has started in Maharashtra this morning in a peaceful atmosphere.
