Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand: The Mahakumbh ended on Wednesday (26 February) with Mahashivaratri bath. Now Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth in Uttarakhand has questioned the organizing of Mahakumbh. He has said, ‘Mahakumbh has already been completed and what is happening now was the government Kumbh.’ It is noteworthy that questions have been raised on the issue of cleanliness before the preparations for Mahakumbh.

‘Mahakumbh concluded on the full moon day’

In a conversation with the media, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati said, ‘Mahakumbh has ended on the full moon day. What is happening right now is the government Kumbh. The actual Aquarius occurs in the month of Magh. The full moon of Magh month has passed and the Kalpasi in Kumbh has returned after the full moon of Magh month.

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati said, “The government program that is being organized right now has no spiritual significance like the traditional fair.”

 

During this time, he has fixed March 17 for the agitation against cow slaughter. He said, “We have asked all political parties to come together and explain whether they want to stop cow slaughter or continue it as it has been going on since independence.” We have given them time till March 17 to take a decision.

Crores of devotees took a dip in the confluence

The 45 -day Mahakumbh is over. 66.30 crore devotees took a dip in the Ganges and Sangam at this fair, which started from 13 January. According to the data released by the fair administration, more than 1.53 crore devotees had taken a dip in the Sangam till 8 pm on Wednesday night and the number of people who took a dip from 13 January to 8 pm has reached 66.30 crore.
