Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Mahakumbh is now in its final stages. Mahakumbh will conclude with the last nectar bath on Mahashivaratri. Due to which there is a possibility of gathering a huge crowd in Prayagraj. Keeping this indication in mind, the police and administration have made complete preparations. Railways have also made complete preparations. The Kumbh Mela area will become a vehicle area from 4 pm today. Meanwhile, due to Mahashivaratri on 26 February, the no-vehicle zone will be implemented in the entire Prayagraj from 6 pm. Only the vehicles carrying essential goods will be allowed. In view of the crowd, holding areas have been created at railway stations, where devotees will get the facility to stop.

So far, more than 63 crore devotees have taken a dip of faith in the Sangam in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. There are reports that during Mahashivaratri bath, all the records of the crowd of devotees in Mahakumbh may break once again. Keeping in mind the previous stampede incident, the district administration and judicial administration have been fully prepared for this. CM Yogi Adityanath himself is monitoring and giving necessary instructions. Recently, the Chief Secretary and DGP reviewed the preparations after a review meeting.

Traffic is the traffic in Prayagraj.

The horse of devotees is reaching Prayagraj for the last bath of Mahashivaratri and Mahakumbh. Since Monday evening, long queues of vehicles started on the roads leading from railway station and bus stand towards Sangam. Three dozen parking sites have been built for the devotees.

Traffic diversion and parking facilities

For the safety and smooth traffic of the devotees who bathe on Mahashivaratri, arrangements have been made for traffic diversion and parking in the fair area. The movement of all types of vehicles except administrative and emergency vehicles has been banned from 8 am to 8 am on February 25 in Mahakumbh Mela area.

Parking for vehicles coming from Jaunpur – Sugar mill parking, pure Surdas Parking Garapur Road, Samay Temple Cachar Parking, Badra Sounouti Rahimapur Road North/South Parking. Devotees coming from Jaunpur will be able to park their vehicles and go to the fair area via old GT Road.

 

Parking sites for vehicles coming from Varanasi – Mahua Bagh Police Station Zucchry Parking i.e. Akhara Parking, Saraswati Parking Zucing Railway Station, Nageshwar Temple Parking, Gyan Ganga Ghat Chhatnag Parking, Shiv Temple Ustapur Mahmudabad Parking. Devotees coming from Varanasi will be able to go from these parking sites to the fair area via Chhatnag Road.

Parking for vehicles coming from Mirzapur – Devarkh Gift Parking North/South, Tent City Parking Madanua/Mawaiya/Deorakh, Omanix City Parking, Ghazia Parking North/South. Devotees coming from Mirzapur will be able to enter the fair area from Arel Dam Road.

Bathing facility on this ghat

Officials have appealed that the devotees take a bath at the nearest prescribed ghat on the basis of their entry point. People coming by Dakshin Jhunsi Marg should use Arel Ghat, while people coming by North Jhunsi Marg should go towards Harishchandra Ghat and Old GT Ghat. Those entering the parade area have been instructed to move towards Bhardwaj Ghat, Nagwasuki Ghat, Mori Ghat, Kali Ghat, Ram Ghat and Hanuman Ghat. Devotees coming from Arel region should use the Arel Ghat for bathing.

Holding area at railway stations

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction (Mughalsarai), one of the busiest railway stations on the Delhi-Howrah rail route, also saw a huge crowd during Mahakumbh. Holding areas have been built at the station for the last bath. Devotees can stay here. On the other hand, after the stampede at New Delhi railway station recently, along with security arrangements, the number of ticket counters and automatic ticket vending machines has also been increased.

According to the Railways, two special passenger shelters have been built at Varanasi railway station for the stay of passengers. Each bus has a capacity of 5000 passengers. Apart from this, three additional holding areas have been prepared for passengers going to Bihar, Ayodhya and Prayag, which have 10,000 passengers. Water, electricity, mobile charging points, temporary toilets, medical facilities and food have been provided in these shelter sites.
