The grand start of Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj has started from 13 January. Every day thousands of devotees are coming here and taking a dip of faith. Keeping in mind the rising crowds and stampede, it is necessary to take special care of security. During the royal bath, a huge crowd of devotees throngs, due to which the administration has made adequate security arrangements. So far, four royal baths have been concluded, while the next royal bath will take place on 12 February on the occasion of Magh Purnima. After this, the last royal bath will take place on 26 February on Mahashivaratri.

What are the safe ghats for bathing?

If you are also going to bathe in Mahakumbh 2025, then it is important to know which ghats are the safest and where to bathe will be the most appropriate. The administration has declared some major ghats safe for bathing.

Major safe ghats

Sangam Ghat:

  • The holiest place of Prayagraj Kumbh.
  • There is a confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and invisible Saraswati here.
  • It is believed that bathing at this place gives salvation.

Arail Ghat:

  • Situated on the banks of river Yamuna, this ghat is famous for Kumbh bath.
  • Due to the slightly away from the Sangam region, the crowd is less here.

Dashashwamedh Ghat:

  • According to religious belief, Lord Brahma performed ten Ashwamedha Yajna here.
  • There is a special crowd here during the royal bath.

Ram Ghat:

  • Historical and religious importance ghats.
  • This is a quiet bathing site due to being located slightly away from congestion.

Hanuman Ghat:

  • The temple of Hanuman ji lying here is very famous.
  • The royal bath is considered one of the safe places for bathing.

Low crowded bathing ghats

If you want to avoid excessive congestion, you can also take a bath on the following ghats:

Triveni Ghat:

  • Located near the confluence site of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
  • According to religious belief, taking a bath here wash all sins.

Red Ghat:

  • Located in the Kumbh region, this ghat may be a low congested alternative.
  • Devotees can take safe and peaceful baths here.

Things to take care before bathing

Follow the security guidelines issued by the administration.
Take a bath only on the prescribed ghats.
