Along with this, he also took account of the redevelopment works done at the station. Actually, 12 new footover bridges have been built at the railway station here. In addition, a total of 23 permanent holding areas have been created. Mobile ticketing will also be used during Mahakumbh. Apart from this, QR codes will be installed, through which tickets can be downloaded directly from the app.

Mahakumbh special trains will run from 50 cities

The control room built here for railway security during Mahakumbh will be connected to the district control room. Apart from this, 8000 additional RAF soldiers will be deployed during Mahakumbh. Security personnel speaking different languages ​​will be called from different states. During Mahakumbh, Mahakumbh special trains from 50 cities across the country will reach Prayagraj. 20 lakh passengers will reach Prayagraj in a day by rail during Mahakumbh. During this period, to control the congestion, 9 stations have been selected, which will be directly connected to Triveni Sangam.

Work is going on at 9 stations

Apart from the main station Prayagraj Junction, there are eight small and big railway stations which have been rebuilt. New footover bridges have been built at these railway stations. These stations have been painted. Apart from this, the area for parking facilities around the stations has also been increased. Along with this, a permanent holding area has also been created.

20 lakh devotees will come every day

The biggest challenge for Railways in Mahakumbh will be security arrangements. Keeping this in mind, the crowd of 20 lakh coming to the railway stations in a day will be monitored through CCTV cameras. For this, 1313 CCTV cameras have been installed. RPF personnel will keep a close watch on every person entering the railway station. Apart from this, major intersections around the stations are also being monitored through CCTV cameras. This control room will be directly connected to the district control room.

13 thousand trains were prepared

Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, ‘Preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are being done for the last two and a half years under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. In the last two years, Rs 5000 crore has been invested in works related to this. Regular review of preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 is going on for the last two and a half years. 3000 special trains will be run to serve the devotees on the way. For this, about 10 thousand regular trains will be run. A total of 13 thousand trains have been prepared for Mahakumbh 2025.
