When is Mahashivaratri 2025?

According to the Vedic calendar, the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month will begin on February 26 at 11:08 am and end on February 27 at 8:54 am. Udya Tithi has special significance in most of the fasts. But there is a tradition of night worship on Mahashivaratri, so the festival of Mahashivaratri will be celebrated on 26 February.

Nishith Kaal Time- On February 27, Nishith period will be from 12:09 pm to 12:59 pm.

First Pooja Time – 26 February from 6.19 pm to 9.26 pm

Third Prahar Puja Time – 27 February from midnight 12:34 to 3:41 am

Fourth Prahar Puja Time – 27 February from 3.41 am to 6.48 am

Mahashivaratri 2025 Rudrabhishek Muhurta, auspicious time of Jalabhishek

On the day of Mahashivaratri, performing Jalabhishek of Shivling has special significance. This year, water immersion can be done from morning on Mahashivaratri. According to the almanac, this day will be from 6.47 am to 9.42 am on this day. After this, offer water from 11:06 am to 12:35 pm and then you can do Jalabhishek from 3:25 pm to 6:08 pm.
