Madhya Pradesh Tourism Launches Immersive Experience Centre For Kids At KidZania Mumbai | X @MPTourism

Mumbai: In a groundbreaking initiative to promote tourism among the younger generation, Madhya Pradesh Tourism has unveiled an immersive experience zone at KidZania centers in Mumbai and Delhi NCR. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Experience Center offers children a chance to explore the state’s rich cultural, natural, and historical heritage through interactive and virtual activities, including jungle safaris and river rafting simulations.

At the launch event in Mumbai, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, emphasized the state’s diverse attractions and expressed pride in introducing children to “the heart of India” through this initiative. He invited families to experience Madhya Pradesh’s unparalleled charm.

This marks the first time a state tourism board in India has partnered with KidZania to create such a child-focused tourism engagement platform. Tarandeep Singh Sekhon, Chief Business Officer of KidZania India, called the collaboration a “powerful step toward cultivating curiosity and responsible tourism in young minds.”

Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director of MP Tourism Board, highlighted the center’s educational goals, saying it would spark interest in biodiversity, rivers, and cultural legacies through fun, technology-driven experiences. The initiative combines entertainment with learning, offering skill development opportunities in psychomotor, cognitive, emotional, and social domains.

About The Experience Center

The Experience Center features two virtual adventures: a Jungle Safari, where children don safari jackets and embark on a simulated jeep ride through dense forests and national parks; and a River Rafting experience, simulating a thrilling ride through Madhya Pradesh’s scenic rivers. These attractions use VR, motion sensors, environmental effects, and 3D visuals for full immersion. Each session ends with a quiz and rewards, including KidZania currency (KidZos) and personalized souvenir postcards. The center also distributes themed stickers, diaries, and colorful pencils as creative giveaways.

The launch included a MoU signing between Madhya Pradesh Tourism and KidZania, a symbolic key presentation, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a celebratory parade with mascots. The event was attended by tour operators, media, travel professionals, and enthusiastic families.

KidZania is a global edutainment brand where children engage in real-life role-playing activities to learn about careers, the economy, and society.
