Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh government is set to organise ‘Laadli Laxmi Utsav’ across the state on district, urban body, and village panchayat levels on May 2.

Local representatives, Laadli girls, their parents, president and members of Laadli Clubs will actively participate in the event.

Regarding the event, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav informed that the Laadli Laxmi Scheme is a symbol of Madhya Pradesh government’s dedicated thinking towards its daughters.

“Our goal is to ensure that every daughter receives respect, education, and opportunities for self-reliance. The Laadli Laxmi Utsav will infuse new energy and confidence,” he added.

He also instructed to ensure widespread publicity of the programs at the district and urban body levels to create a positive environment in society for the empowerment of daughters.

CM Yadav said that the ‘Laadli Laxmi Utsav’ is not just an event, but a collective resolution for the respect, safety, and empowerment of daughters.

Interestingly, Laadli Laxmi Utsav will be organized by the Laadli girls themselves. It will include special events like Kanya-Pujan (worship of girls), lighting of lamps, motivational speeches by Laadli girls and martial arts demonstrations under the ‘Aparajita’ program.

The aim of this festival is to spread awareness about respecting and empowering daughters at the district, urban bodies, and village panchayat levels.

The program will also honor the girls who have achieved excellence and the Laadli Laxmi Friendly Panchayats. Additionally, under the ‘One Tree in the Name of Laadli Laxmi’ campaign, each public representative and girl will plant a tree.

Assurance certificates will be distributed to the Laadli girls. During the event, the members of Laadli Clubs will also share their experience.
