Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Gives Approval For Establishment Of Solar, Wind Projects | X / Mohan Yaav
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): To reduce operation and maintenance cost of Group Drinking Water Supply Schemes of Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam, the cabinet gave in principal approval for establishment of solar and wind energy projects.
The projects will be established in captive mode and energy produced by projects will be purchased by Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam on tender rates.
It was informed that Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam is operating 147 Group Drinking Water Supply Projects and of them, 41 have been completed and through them, work of distributing water has begun.
Out of 106 ongoing projects, partial water supply has commenced through 11 projects. In the next two years, 124 schemes will be completed and water supply to villages will be done through tap water.
In the coming years, to fulfill the need in operation and maintenance cost of group schemes, solar and wind energy projects will be established.
Cabinet approves proposal to provide extra land
The cabinet approved the proposal to provide extra land to Rajgarh Palace Hotel and Resort (RPHR). The RPHR had sought 19.214 acres of land. As per cabinet decision, non-irrigated land will be provided to it on collector’s guideline.
In the proposed project, Yoga Centre, Wellness Centre, Gymnasium and other tourism activities will be conducted. Notably, Rajgarh palace is situated on 20 km distance from Khajuraho.
‘Gudi Padwa will be celebrated with great enthusiasm’
Before the start of the cabinet meeting, CM Mohan Yadav said that ‘Gudi Padwa’ will be celebrated with great enthusiasm on March 30. He asked cabinet ministers to participate in programmes to be held on Gudi Padwa (the first day of Hindu calender) in their respective constituencies.
Releasing the book ‘Bharat Ka Nav Varsh Vikram Samvat’, he shed light on the importance of dates under Vikram Samvat, festivals and time calculation method.
Under Vikram Mahotsav, special programmes are going to be held in New Delhi on April 12, 13, 14 wherein play dedicated to King Vikramaditya will be staged. Programme focusing on King Vikramaditya will also be staged across the state.
