Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In view of upcoming Simhastha Fair in Ujjain, Cabinet on Wednesday cleared Rs 2,312 crore for construction of roads in Indore, Ujjain.
The two-lane Ujjain Simhastha Road would be turned into four- lane with paved shoulder with a cost of Rs 701.86 crore.
Likewise, the 48.05km-long Indore-Ujjain Green Field too would be turned into four-lane (with paved shoulder). Rs 1,370.85 crore were sanctioned for it.
The Cabinet also approved 32.60-km-long two-lane road, with paved shoulder, in Engoria- Depalpur of Ujjain at a cost of Rs 239.38 crore.
All these roads would be developed by MP Road Development Corporation.

Committee to decide new excise policy. The panel includes Deputy CM Jagdish Dewda, ministers Uday Pratap Singh, Nirmala Bhuria and Govind Singh Rajput.
SOYBEAN, PADDY PROCUREMENT:
During the meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav asked ministers to visit their respective areas and check procurement process of soybean and paddy. The ministers were asked to ensure that farmers did not face difficulty. So far, 2.4 lakh Metric Tonne soybean had been purchased. Moreover, 7.68 lakh farmers have registered to sell paddy crop.
JAN KALYAN PARV:
Government has decided to celebrate Jan Kalyan Parv from December 11 till December 26. It is specially meant for the welfare of poor, women, youth and farmers. Likewise, government will also celebrate Geeta Jayanti.
442.04 acre included in Mohasa Babai industrial area
To promote manufacturing of electric, new and renewable energy equipments, Cabinet cleared inclusion of 442.04 acre in Mohasa Babai industrial zone. Earlier its area was 441.96 acre. Now its total area is 884 acre. In view of regional investors summit scheduled in Narmadapuram, the government is hopeful of huge investment in the Industrial zone.
