Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The government may bring new schemes for women in the budget instead of increasing the amount given to them under the Ladli Behna Yojna. The government is planning to bring new schemes to connect women with employment. If women keep female workers in their units, they will be given funds in the form of subsidy.
The government plans to give money to women against some work under the scheme. The plans are afoot to give financial assistance to women for setting up units for self-employment besides extending the scope for Lakhpati Didi scheme.
The budget being presented in the House on March 12 will focus on the schemes related to women. According to sources, the government may put up a budget worth Rs 4.20 lakh crore. The glimpses of the policies brought at the Global Investors Summit on its first day may be seen in the budget in which government made provisions for implementing its policies.
The government is going to allot budget to the Transport Department for operating buses. The Transport Department plans to form a company to run the buses this year, for which the government will make provisions in the budget. A presentation of the budget will be made before the ministers at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. The proposal for formation of a company to operate the buses may be put up before it.
