The construction work of Madhuban Bapudham Railway Over Bridge (ROB) in Ghaziabad has now gained fast. This ROB is expected to be completed in the next 6 months. After it is built, direct connection to Delhi-Meerut Road will be connected to Hapur Road, which will provide better and smooth traffic to more than 5 lakh people.
The responsibility of this project has been given to Setu Nigam and Railways. According to reports, Setu Nigam has completed 75 percent of its work and ROB has also been constructed on both sides of the railway track. However, work on the railway track had not started earlier, but now the Railways has also started work on it, which will further speed up construction work.
Rob will be made by September
Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has started construction of this railway over bridge at Madhuban Bapudham to improve connectivity between Meerut Road and Hapur Road. The length of ROB will be 600 meters and width will be 45 meters. 63 crore rupees are being spent on this project.
The Railway Department has approved the General Approval Drawing (GAD) for its construction and Rs 27 crore has also been paid for it. Now the railway has started work, in which pillars are being constructed. Soon the construction of these pillars will be completed and after that a slab will be inserted between the pillars above the track. The project is expected to be completed by September 2025.
Time saving in travel
The construction of this ROB will provide great relief to the nearby residents. Currently, one has to travel about 14 km more from Ghaziabad to Hapur and Meerut. But after this ROB is built, direct connection to Delhi-Meerut Road will be connected to Hapur Road, which will reduce the distance of 14 km.
This will also give a chance to travel easily to the residents of Govindapuram, Swarnayantipuram, Sadarpur Village, Balaji Enclave, Karpooripuram, Dasna, Mussoorie and other colonies. This project will prove to be important in improving traffic facilities.
