The Ludhiana-Bathinda highway project, which has been stalled due to the problems of land acquisition for a long time, has now resumed. It is a 75.54 km long, six -lane Greenfield Highway, which is being built by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

With the formation of this highway, the time of travel will be reduced, relief from traffic problem and business and tourism will be promoted.

Which districts and villages will the highway pass?

This highway will pass through 36 villages in three districts:
Ludhiana and Raikot Tehsil (Ludhiana District)
Barnala and Tapa Tehsil (Barnala district)
Rampura Phool Tehsil (Bathinda District)

This will give people living in these areas fast and easy connectivity to cities.

There will be two parts of the highway:

First part: 30.3 km long
Second part: 45.243 km long

This will make the journey of passengers going from Ludhiana to Bathinda easier and faster, which will also promote business and tourism.

This expressway will be 670 km long and four lanes.
There will be direct connectivity from Bahadurgarh border to Katra near Delhi.
Haryana will pass through Punjab and Jammu.

Heavy cuts in travel time!

The distance from Delhi to Katra will be reduced from 727 km to 588 km.
Travel time will be reduced from 14 hours to just 6 hours.
The distance from Delhi to Amritsar will be 405 km and the journey will be completed from 8 hours to just 4 hours.
