LPG cylinder expensive by Rs 50, increased prices for both Ujjwala scheme and common customers, new rates will be applicable from night

New prices will be applicable from tonight

The government has increased the price of domestic gas cylinders by Rs 50. This increase has been done for both the beneficiaries and general consumers of the Ujjwala scheme.

  • The gas cylinder received under the Ujjwala scheme will now be available for Rs 550 instead of Rs 500.
  • At the same time, the price of cylinder for common customers has increased from Rs 803 to Rs 853.

Minister Hardeep Puri also informed that these prices will be reviewed every 2-3 weeks.

New prices of cylinders in major cities of the country

  1. Delhi: Rose from Rs 803 to Rs 853
  2. Mumbai: Rose from Rs 832.50 to Rs 852.50
  3. Kolkata: Rose from Rs 829 to Rs 879
  4. Chennai: 818.50 to Rs 868.50
  5. Patna: Rose from Rs 901 to Rs 951
  6. Lucknow: Rose from Rs 855.20 to Rs 905.55

Commercial cylinder was cheaper on 1 April

Significantly, on 1 April, oil companies cut the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders by Rs 44.50. But now the burden on domestic gas consumers has been increased in intervals of a few days.

Excise duty of petrol and diesel also increased

The government has also increased excise duty on petrol and diesel on this day. However, it has been told that its burden will bear the oil companies, so at present, it will not affect retail prices.
