LPG cylinder became cheaper, commercial gas prices decreased on the start of the new financial year

Oil marketing companies have given relief to consumers at the beginning of the new financial year. The prices of commercial LPG cylinders of 19 kg from 1 April 2025 have been cut. After this deduction, this cylinder in Delhi will now be available for Rs 1762, which was being available for Rs 1803 in March. That is, the cylinder in Delhi has become cheaper by Rs 41.

New prices in other metros

  • Kolkata: Now Rs 1868.50 (first Rs 1913.00)

  • Mumbai: Now Rs 1713.50 (first Rs 1755.50)

  • Chennai: Now Rs 1921.50 (first Rs 1965.00)

In this way, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders in the four metros of the country have seen a decrease of 40 to 45 rupees.

6 rupees increased in March

In March 2025, the price of commercial gas cylinders was increased by Rs 6. However, these rates have now decreased in April. This relief can prove beneficial for hotels, restaurants and small businesses.

No change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder

Oil companies have not made any changes in the price of domestic LPG cylinder (14.2 kg). It will be available at low rates as before:

  • Delhi: 803 rupees

  • Kolkata: Rs 829

  • Mumbai: 802.50 rupees

  • Chennai: Rs 818.50

Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) also changed the price

Oil companies have also amended air fuel prices. The new rate in Delhi has been fixed at $ 794.41 per kiloliter.

When there was a big increase in 2022

In April 2022, the biggest increase in commercial cylinder prices was so far.

  • On 1 April 2022, the cylinder prices rose from 249.50 to 268.50 rupees.

  • At that time the price of a cylinder reached Rs 2406.

  • In April 2021, the price increased by Rs 27 to 41, causing the price to go to Rs 1771.50.
