Los Angeles: Wildfires have wreaked havoc in California’s Los Angeles, forcing thousands of people, including Hollywood stars, to leave their homes. Homes of several celebrities, including Billy Crystal, Tom Hanks, Reese Witherspoon, Michael Keaton, Mandy Moore and Paris Hilton, were burnt in the blaze. The fire first erupted in the Pacific Palisades after it spread toward the Malibu stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway. It forced residents to evacuate their homes.

There are reportedly at least wildfires thar are burning across Los Angeles and out of them three are major. “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill called it “most horrific fire since ’93.”. On his Instagram, he wrote that he had left his Malibu home with his wife and their dog.

“Halloween” star Jamie Lee Curtis said that she was safe. On her Instagram, she wrote, “My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. Please post facts! It will help those wondering!”

Oscar-nominated actor James Woods also confirmed on his X account that he and her family safely evacuated from the Palisades. Songwriter Diane Warren shared a post on her Instagram stating that her beach house of nearly 30 years was damaged in the blaze.

Billionaire Elon Musk also posted a video on his X account showing destruction caused by the wildfire in the Pacific Palisades, which is home to several Hollywood celebrities and multi-millionaires.

Notably, the Eaton Fire raging in the Angeles National Forest, Altadena and Pasadena claimed is responsible of all the five deaths Several people were also reportedly injured in this blaze. It is the second wildfire in the area. As per officials, a new blaze broke out in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday evening.

The Eaton fire was was first reported at around 6 p.m. Tuesday near Altadena Drive and Midwick Drive above Altadena, reported CBS News quoting Cal Fire and the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) crews. As per Fire Chief Chad Augustin between 200 and 500 structures have been damaged so far in the Eaton blaze.

According to the report by The Associated Press, more than 1,000 structures, mostly homes, have been destroyed in the wildfires.
