Flemingo has been coming here since the lake was declared a protected area, but now Flamingo Palm has started coming on the beach. Thus, Navi Mumbai has now been given the identity of Flemingo City.
Flamingo has started appearing in the morning and evening in the Jewel of Navi Mumbai campus located on the side of Palm Beach in Navi Mumbai. Under the ‘Majhi Vasundhara’ campaign, Navi Mumbai jewel has been developed in a huge area of 137 acres adjacent to Nerul Palm Beach Road. A holding pond has been constructed in this 64 -acre area. And there is also a natural lake in eight acres. Additionally, the country’s largest Miawaki forest has been installed on 35 acres.

The DPS Lake, which is a favorite place of Flemingo, was a long struggle by the Navi Mumbai environmentalists and the Nataknect Foundation to declare a reserved area by the Maharashtra State Wildlife Board.
