In a thrilling contest that saw six goals and relentless attacking football, Lenruol FC emerged victorious with a commanding 4-2 win over Elevenstar Club in Assam State Premier League.

The match kicked off with explosive energy, as Elevenstar took an early lead just 2 minutes and 10 seconds into the game through a composed finish by Hijam Shital Singh.

However, their lead was short-lived, as Lenruol FC’s Lalhminghlu Vankal unleashed a spectacular scoring spree, netting three goals in quick succession at the 4:30, 7:15, and 10:00-minute marks — completing a sensational first-half hat-trick and turning the tide in Lenruol’s favor.

Despite the early setback, Elevenstar didn’t back down. Mridul Das reignited their hopes with a well-placed goal in the 38th minute, bringing the score to 3-2.

But Lenruol extended their lead just before halftime, when Jehova Lalringum Hmar slotted home in the 45th minute plus 23 seconds of added time, giving his team a comfortable 4-2 advantage heading into the break.

The second half saw a more balanced game with both teams battling for control, but neither could break the deadlock again. Lenruol edged the possession (52% to 48%) and created more clear-cut chances, registering 5 shots with 4 on target compared to Elevenstar’s 4 shots and 2 on target. The game was largely disciplined, with just one yellow card shown to Elevenstar and minimal fouls committed. Lenruol also dominated set-piece opportunities with 7 corners against Elevenstar’s single attempt.

Despite a one-minute stoppage time added to the first 45 minutes, Sudeva Delhi FC couldn’t find an equalizer before the break.

However, the second half painted a different picture. Sudeva Delhi FC came out with renewed determination, leveling the score in the 56th minute through a clinical finish. The momentum shifted decisively when they netted their second goal at 61:58, taking the lead for the first time.
