Allahabad High Court: Advocate Ashok Pandey was caught insulting the judges during the hearing in the High Court. A lawyer of the Allahabad High Court has been sentenced to 6 months in jail. Along with this, a fine was also imposed. According to the information, Pandey called the judges a goon during the hearing. Apart from this, the court also raised questions about his dress, which made Pandey angered.

 

Lawyer went to court after opening the shirt button

Actually, this decision is related to a hearing held on 18 August 2021. Pandey then appeared before the bench of Justices Rituraj Awasthi and Dinesh Kumar Singh. The High Court said that at that time Pandey had come wearing disorganized clothes and his shirt buttons were opened. So when the bench advised Pandey to wear appropriate clothes, he refused. Along with this, he also asked the court the meaning of ‘member dress’.

 

Accused of treating judge like goon

According to the information received, the lawyer used abusive language in the court and also obstructed the court proceedings. He accused the judges of behaving like goons in the presence of others, including lawyers. Now the High Court said that the bench had also given Pandey an opportunity to apologize, but he did not show any regret on his mistake. After this, a case of contempt was filed against him.
