Kanpur A sad news has come out from. Five members of the same family were killed in a fierce fire in a five -storey building in Gandhinagar, Chamanganj area here on Sunday night.
Who is among the dead?
According to the information, the dead include husband, wife and three children. Efforts were made for eight hours to save them, but in the end only their bodies were found. More than a dozen fire engines reached the spot to extinguish the fierce fire in the building, but the situation could be controlled by eight o’clock in the night.

DCP Dinesh Tripathi said that the condition of two people is critical. The situation will be clear only after medical examination. We received information that three people were trapped in the building, but before we could reach any conclusion, five people were burnt alive. There was a shoe factory on the lower floor of this building and the owner of the factory lived up.
What causes the fire?
It is being told that the fire started due to short circuit. The shoe factory was hit by fire and on seeing the entire building was hit by fire. Police and fire department officials are still present at the scene and relief and rescue operations are going on.
