The difficulties of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav and his family have once again increased in the money laundering case related to the job in lieu of land. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Lalu Prasad Yadav and some of his family members from Bihar. In this summons, Lalu and his family members have been called for questioning.

In this summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Lalu’s son Tej Pratap and wife Rabri Devi have been called for questioning on Tuesday, while Lalu Yadav has been called for questioning at the zonal office in Patna yesterday. The case is related to the alleged land-for-go-the scam, including allegations of money refinement. In such a situation, it is to be seen whether Lalu Yadav will be introduced on the summons of ED or not. Recently, his son Tej Pratap and daughter have got bail from the court. Meanwhile, the court acquitted Lalu for not appearing.
Why was the summons released again?
It is noteworthy that the ED had also questioned Lalu Yadav earlier. His statement was recorded but the ED says that now some new evidence has been found, on the basis of which he will be questioned again. Action will be taken after this.
What is the charge?
It is alleged that between 2004 and 2009, many people were appointed in Group D posts in various zones of Indian Railways and in return these people named their lands to the family members of the then Railway Minister Lalu Yadav and their respective company AK Infosystems Private Limited.

Lalu Yadav is accused of misusing his post while being a railway minister and giving jobs to many people in Group D posts in Railways in lieu of land. Last month, the court filed a supplementary charge sheet in the case. 11 people were made accused. Three of them have died. Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti have appeared in court several times in this case.
