On Sunday, a video of comedian Kunal Kamra went viral in which he spoke about a minister and called him a ‘Gaddar’. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde’s, Shiv Sena workers vandalised Habitat Comedy Club, a studio in Khar, Mumbai, where Kunal had performed. They later went to Khar Police station to file an FIR against him. A lot of politicians have already reacted to the situation, and now, Kunal himself has given a reaction to it.
He shared a post in which he is holding a diary which has ‘Constitution Of India’ written on it. The comedian captioned the post as, “The only way forward…” Check out the post below…
Kunal on Sunday shared a video and captioned it as “Maharashtra”. He made a song on the tunes of Dil To Pagal Hai’s track Bholi Si Surat, and joked about a minister who has hails from Thane, drives a rickshaw, has beard and wears specs. The comedian called the minister a ‘Gaddar’, and in just a few minutes the video went viral, and the joke didn’t go down well with Shinde’s Shiv Sena workers.
While speaking to FPJ, MLA Murji Patel of Shiv Sena (Shinde) said, “Kunal Kamra made very low remarks about DyCM Eknath Shinde. We arrived at the police station and demanded that an FIR be filed against him. If Kamra does not apologize within two days, we will smear black color on his face.”
Reacting to the whole scenario, Aaditya Thackeray (of Udhav Thaeckey’s Shiv Sena), posted on X, “Mindhe’s coward gang breaks the comedy show stage where comedian @kunalkamra88 put out a song on eknath mindhe which was 100% true. Only an insecure coward would react to a song by someone. Btw law and order in the state? Another attempt to undermine the CM and Home Minister by eknath mindhe.”
