Mahakumbh 2025
Mahakumbh will start in Prayagraj from 13th January and this holy festival will end on 26th February. During this period, crores of devotees will reach Prayagraj and take a dip in Kumbh. During this time you should follow some rules, only then you will get auspicious results.
rule 1
During Maha Kumbh, Naga Sadhus take bath first. Other people can take bath only after the Naga Sadhus take bath. Therefore, even by mistake, one should not take a dip in front of Naga Sadhus on the day of Mahakumbh. Doing this is not considered good from religious point of view. This is a violation of the rules and does not give auspicious results of Kumbh Snan.
Rule 2
If you are going to take a dip in Mahakumbh, then also keep in mind that the planets should take a dip 5 times. According to religious belief, when householders take a dip 5 times in the Maha Kumbh, their Kumbh bath is considered complete.
Rule 3
After taking bath in Mahakumbh, you should offer water to the Sun God with both hands. Kumbh Mela is organized keeping in mind the special status of Sun God, hence in Mahakumbh, offering Arghya to Sun God and taking bath also brings auspicious results. Offering Arghya to the Sun during Kumbh bath also strengthens the position of the Sun in the horoscope.
Rule 4
After bathing in Kumbh, you should visit Hanumanji or Nagavasuki temple in Prayagraj. According to beliefs, the religious journey of the devotees is considered complete only after visiting these temples.
