The incident took place this morning at Chinchoshi village in Khed taluka, Pune. Dr. Shivaji Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Zone-3 of Pimpri-Chinchwad, said that the police had received information that two robbers were hiding in the village.
Last month, a house in Bahul village was vandalized, residents were attacked and looted. Two people were seriously injured in this attack.
Five-six robbers were involved in this crime. Two robbers of this gang had come today to rob Chinchoshi village.
After receiving this information, I reached the spot with a team from Chakan police station. A trap was laid to catch the accused Sachin Bhosle and Mithun Bhosle. While trying to arrest him, Sachin Bhosle attacked me with a knife. I was hurt by chest. Prasanna Jarahad, Assistant Police Inspector of Chakan Police Station, was also injured during the clash. I fired two rounds of bullets in self -defense and a robber was shot in the leg.
During the clash, one of the accused was caught and his partner ran away. However, he was later arrested.
