Chanting the mantra “Om Adya-Bhootaya Vidmahe Sarva-Sevyaya Dheemahi, Shiva-Shakti-Swaroopena Pitru-Deva Prachodayat” during Arghya offerings purports to relieve ancestral afflictions. Rare yogas like Shivvas Yoga and Siddhi Yoga will also be present, enhancing the day’s spiritual potency.
