Cyclone Fengal update in Tamil Nadu
Even after the landfall, Cyclone Fengal continued to bring heavy rainfall to north coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Due to this, all schools and colleges will remain shut in Puducherry. The storm has affected over 1.5 crore people in the state and around 15 districts of Tamil Nadu. According to the IMD, the city will likely receive moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday.
Widespread rainfall is predicted in Karnataka
The city is experiencing a change in its weather, offering chilly temperatures to the residents due to the impact of Cyclone Fengal. Before making landfall in Tamil Nadu, the cyclone was activated in Karnataka and affected numerous regions, including Bengaluru. Despite the landfall, the IMD said that the cyclone could show its impact on December 3.
Will schools be shut in Bengaluru?
Despite a rainfall alert by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there has been no announcement of a school holiday in Bengaluru. However, schools will remain shut in Dakshin Kannada and Udupi districts on Tuesday, December 3.
Kerala weather update
According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls is forecasted in Kerala on Tuesday, December 3, as the remnants of Cyclone Fengal continue to impact the region. The IMD has predicted intermittent light to moderate rain with occasional thunderstorms for the next five days in Kerala.
