KKR vs CSK: Chennai won the Kolkata Knight Riders by two wickets on Wednesday. After this victory, Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni admitted that he had reached the final stages of his career. However, Dhoni clarified that at the moment he has no intention of retiring and he will decide on it only when the right time comes.

In this match, the team scored 179 runs at the loss of six wickets thanks to the innings of Captain Ajinkya Rahane (48), Andre Russell (38) and Manish Pandey (36) from Kolkata Knight Riders. In response, the Super Kings team was reduced to 60 for five in which Dewald Brevis scored 52 off 25 balls. It consisted of four sixes and four fours. With the help of his half -century and Shivam Dubey (45 runs, 40 balls, three sixes, two fours), he scored 183 runs at the loss of eight wickets in 19.4 overs and scored the match in his fist.

 

With this victory, Super Kings have broken the series of four consecutive matches. Dhoni has appreciated the support of the fans and indicated that he has no intention of retiring at the end of the current season.

What did Dhoni say about retirement?

Dhoni said after the match, ‘This is the love and affection I have always got. Do not forget that I am 42 years old. I have been playing for a long time. “Many of them do not know when my last match will be (laughing) so they want to come and see me playing.” Dhoni said this.

He also said, “I cannot be denied that I am in the final stage of my career. After the end of the IPL, I will have to work hard for six to eight months and see if my body can bear pressure or not. At the moment there is nothing certain but the love and affection I have seen is amazing.”
