King’s College London’s Global Cultures Institute and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities have issued an invitation for applications for the King’s Charles Wallace India Trust Visiting Fellowship 2025-26. This highly selective fellowship is granted every other year to an early-to-mid-career India-based researcher in Heritage, Arts, and the Humanities.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the fellowship, candidates must:

– Have passed their PhD
– Be working at a university or similar research institute in India
– Be Indian nationals living in India
– Not have received a CWIT award within the past 5 years

Application Process:

Candidates are required to provide:

– An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
– Two recommendations
– A proposal for research (up to 3000 words)
– One piece of written work (published or unpublished)
– A statement describing the suitability of King’s Global Cultures Institute for their research
– A plan of work during the fellowship duration

Benefits and Responsibilities:

– Be awarded a fellowship to continue developing their research work
– Be likely to contribute to the research climate within the Faculty and Global Cultures Institute
– Give a seminar
– Build research alliances with faculty within the arts and humanities
– Receive £1,600 each month as living allowance and £700 as payment towards return airfare

The fellowship will start in April 2026 and will run for three months. The fellow will be given a working area and access to regular library, internet, and office facilities.

Application Deadline:

The deadline for application is May 7, 2025. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.
