Siddharth Anand’s King has been making it to the headlines for one reason, and that is casting. Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Arshad Warsi are already in the cast, and now, joining them is Rani Mukerji. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Rani will be seen in an extended cameo in the movie and will play the role of Suhana’s mother. Her character acts as a catalyst in the film.
Reportedly, Rani will only shoot for five days, but her track is the heart of the movie. A source told the portal, “It was a no-brainer for Rani to say yes to Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand’s offer for King. She heard the part, and instantly agreed to on board the film. Rani’s track is the heart of King, leading to the emotional depth.”

Rani has also done cameos in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Zero. But, KANK was their last proper film together, so they are now all set to team up after 19 years.

Apart from King, Rani also has Mardaani 3 lined up. While King’s release date is not yet announced, Mardaani 3 is slated to release on February 27, 2026.
YRF had shared the first look poster of the film a few days ago, and announced the release date. The production house had posted, “The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026.”
