A video of a young boy battling floodwater to rescue three stranded cats from the streets of Malaysia is going viral on social media and winning praises for him. It records the little one walking with the stray cats on the waterlogged road and leaving them at a safer place. The heart-warming gesture of this boy, when the country faced severe weather and got flooded due to heavy rainfall, is being widely circulated online.

The water was knee deep for the boy, but it didn’t stop him to help the stranded animals. Stepping into the floodwater and picking up three cats, he was rescuing them for the flood-hit region.

The video opened by showing the boy tightly holding the three cats in his arms and carrying a bag alongside. Dodging his way through the waterlogged street, he managed to walk to the other side of the road.

Cats jump off after he reaches safer road

The boy rescued the cats to a safer place. Seconds into the video, he was seen coming to the road with no floodwater. Soon after he reached the safer area, one of the cats jumped on the ground. The other two too followed.

The visuals recorded the Malaysian boy’s dear ones waiting at the road’s end. They were happy to see him rescue the cats and come safely dodging the waterlogged road.

Flood in Malaysia

While floods in parts of Malaysia are common, the recent flood caused by monsoon rain took the lives of 30 people, according to reports, leaving thousands of people homeless after their shelters were destroyed or washed away. The adverse effects of the natural disaster also extended to certain areas in southern Thailand.
