Kherwadi police seize 82 grams of cocaine, arrest two in Bandra West drug bust | Representative Image

Mumbai: The Kherwadi police have detained two individuals for allegedly smuggling drugs and seized 82 grams of cocaine valued at ₹32.40 lakh from their possession. The accused have been identified as Junaid Khan, 36 and Olanrevaju Imuobu, 49, a Nigerian national. Both reside in Bandra West and are part of an international drug trafficking network, the police said.

According to the police, they received a tip-off that the accused were in possession of cocaine and intended to sell it at a specific location. Acting on the information, a police team laid a trap near the compound wall of MIG Club Ground on Ramkrishna Paramhans Marg, Bandra East.

When Khan arrived at the spot, officers intercepted him and found 3 grams of cocaine in his possession. Khan resides in a transit camp in Bandra West.

Further investigation led to the involvement of Olanrevaju Imuobu, who was suspected of purchasing and storing larger quantities of the drug. Acting swiftly, police raided Imuobu’s residence at Kamal Laxmi Niwas, Room No. 1, Chimbai Koliwada, Bandra West, where they discovered 79 grams of cocaine. The operation was executed under the supervision of senior officers and led by Police Inspector Dipshikha Vare.
