Navi Mumbai: Vichumbe village Sarpanch and four others have been booked by Khandeshwar police for obstructing government work and assaulting officials during a land survey. The incident took place on Monday morning when a team led by Nayab Tehsildar Sanjay Bhalerao visited Vichumbe in Panvel to measure government grazing land.
According to reports, Bhalerao, accompanied by a surveyor and other staff, was conducting a survey of government land under Survey No. 38 when Sarpanch Pramod Bhingarkar arrived with three associates.
