‘Kesari 2’ rocked the box office, first day’s earnings and strong story impressed the audience

Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Kesari’, which came out in 2019, got a tremendous love from the audience, which was based on the historical battle of Saragarhi. Now its sequel ‘Kesari 2’ has been released and this is also based on a true incident, the legal battle fought after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Since the trailer, there was tremendous enthusiasm about this film and finally the wait was over on 18 April on the occasion of Good Friday.

‘Kesari 2’ received a good response from both the audience and critics. Akshay Kumar’s acting is being specially appreciated. A special screening of the film was held in Delhi, in which Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and other leaders also praised the film. This has increased the audience more enthusiasm about the film. Advance booking was also excellent and on the very first day there was a good crowd in theaters.

According to the Early report by Second, ‘Kesari 2’ earned around Rs 7.50 crore on the first day of its release. This figure is initial, in which there may be slight changes when the official collection comes. With this, the film has become the highest grossing film at number six in films released on Good Friday, and has surpassed John Abraham’s ‘Rocky Handsome’.

Hope to bounce in collection on weekends

On Friday, there was a good trend in the audience about the film. In the morning show, 12.67% Occupancy, 19.76% in the afternoon and an average of 17.40% throughout the day reached the theaters. The emotional story of the film, which is based on the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, has been successful in connecting the audience emotionally. The weekend is expected to increase the film’s collection further.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Akshay Kumar played the role of lawyer C. Shankaran Nair. Ananya Pandey with him Dilrit Gill, and R.K.
