A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Kollam district of Kerala, where 35 -year -old youth Ranjit committed suicide after trying to kill his ailing mother. Alamadu resident Ranjit and her 58 -year -old mother Sujata, allegedly fed up with the financial crisis and deteriorating health, decided to die together.
On Friday, both of them ate excessive drug bullets. After this, Ranjit tried to strangle his mother with shawl. He felt that his mother died, so he hanged himself. But luck supported Sujata – she survived.
The next morning, Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) officials arrived to investigate the outstanding electricity bill, when they saw Sujata in critical condition. She was asking for water. He called the local people and informed the police, after which the woman was taken to the hospital.
According to the report, there was no other relatives of the mother and son. Sujatha is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital, and the police is investigating the case.
