Kerala Heavy Rainfall: Heavy rains estimate in five northern districts till 20 May

News India Live, Digital Desk: Kerala Heavy Rainfall: The Meteorological Department has predicted to arrive before the south-west monsoon time on the coasts of Kerala, but the summer rains continue in Kerala. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has estimated heavy rains in the northern districts of Kerala till 20 May.

Orange alerts are being issued in five Malabar districts of Kerala i.e. Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Palakkad.

The department has warned of storms with strong winds at different places in Kerala from Friday to Tuesday.

In addition, during this period, air is expected to move at a speed of 35 to 45 kilometers per hour around the Kerala coast, which can be up to 55 kilometers per hour. Fishermen are advised not to go to the upper areas of the sea from May 18 to May 20.

IMD has issued an orange alert for Mondays – Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod – for Monday.
