Mumbai: Famous Kannada director Hemanta Rao is very upset with the org.zers of IIFA Awards. I don’t need your awards. He has expressed deep anger by saying that if there is any award in my name in future, it should be kept in a dark corner somewhere.
Hemant M. Rao, producer of the acclaimed film ‘Sapta Sagardache Ilo’, in a social media post said that IIFA org.zers do not care about anyone’s honour. There is a lack of transparency in their selection process. They do not announce the nominees in any award category and announce the awards directly.
He said that I am not sad about getting the award. I feel proud and happy for those who have received awards. It’s not about being bitter but about self-respect. He said that he called me and my music director to Abu Dhabi and kept us there till three in the morning and finally we realized that we were not going to get any award.
He said that whoever you want to give the award, give it. I am not ready to spend my sleepless nights for this. I do the best work in the world and I don’t need your reward for it. He wrote, Now if you feel like giving me an award, then keep it in a dark corner, but do not call me.
