The Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra began on 28 April with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. People from many states of the country including UP, Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan are reaching Chardham Yatra to visit. Meanwhile, helicopter service has been started at Kedarnath Dham. Air service has been started from Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun to Kedarnath and Badrinath. A group of 20 pilgrims departed from Jolly Grant Airport by MI17 helicopter.
Helicopter service started
Additional police force has been deployed by the police administration on the Chardham Yatra route. The devotees who come on Chardham Yatra should not have any kind of trouble, it is being taken care of. After landing pilgrims in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, the MI17 helicopter will return to Jollygrant. The doors of Kedarnath have been opened for darshan on May 2, while the doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened on May 4. Basic facilities like electricity, water etc. have been improved on the road. On May 2, a large number of pilgrims are being seen as soon as the doors of Kedarnath Dham opened. On the first day, more than 30 thousand devotees visited Kedarnath Dham. Since the opening of Kedarnath’s doors, 9 helicopter companies have started helicopter services. On the very first day, there was a crowd of passengers in helicopter companies. Helicopter flights have started from several helipades of Kedar Valley from Friday morning.
