Mumbai: The Department of Mass Media of Kishinchand Chellaram (KC) College, HSNC University, Mumbai, successfully concluded the 22nd edition of their annual inter-collegiate media festival, Blitzkrieg, on February 1 and 2.

Over 15 colleges participated in the two-day extravaganza and more than 4,000 people attended the festival. This year’s theme — ‘Threads of Deception’ — immersed contingents dived into the world of conspiracy theories and deception with each contingent crafting their own story of betrayals and mysteries.

The festival featured 23 events, combining creativity and performance. Among the standout highlights were the dance and drama event that saw the participants adapting their own conspiracy theory into Bollywood, turning the familiar plot into a mysterious adventure judged by Arjun Tanwar and Shreas Pardiwala.

The Cartune Network, sponsored by RedBull, was a high energy DJ event where all contingents showcased their best DJ mix beats judged by Trishina and Greg Dmello, who evaluated the performances before taking the stage themselves for a closing act.

In the band event, participants were required to compose a unique verse by weaving together the song titles of a given artist, that captures the essence of the artist’s music in a completely new way, judged by Saaj Bhatt and Shahid Mallya.

With over 15 stalls offering food, shopping and other activities, Blitzkrieg 2025 was a carnival that had something for everyone. Contingent Illuminati was declared the winner followed by contingent Simpsons as first runner-up and contingent Frozen Conspirators as second runner-up.

Blitzkrieg 2025’s success was made possible by the dedication of the organising team, the enthusiastic participation of students, and the support of sponsors and partners. The Free Press Journal was the media partner for the two-day festival, as well as the international film festival held by the college on January 31.
